Bringing the Flagstaff Enduro to Life Through Video Marketing

An AMRA case study in creative direction, scripting, video production and race promotion.
Client: Arizona Motorcycle Riders Association (AMRA)
Industry: Motorsports / Nonprofit
Role: Sponsorship & Media Officer
Project: 2026 Flagstaff Enduro, Round 7 Race Promotion
Duration: August–September 2026
The Arizona Motorcycle Riders Association (AMRA) is Arizona's premier off-road motorcycle racing series. Powered by volunteers and supported by nine local clubs, AMRA brings together riders of all ages and skill levels for a season of competitive motorcycle racing.
As AMRA's Sponsorship & Media Officer, I manage marketing and communications for the championship series, including website content, email campaigns, social media, video production and sponsor recognition.
For the 2026 Flagstaff Enduro, I developed two promotional videos using raw drone footage of riders navigating the race course. I handled the creative process from concept to completion, including scripting, music selection, editing and final production using Camtasia.
The goal was to create engaging videos that showcased the course, built excitement for the upcoming race, recognized our sponsors and encouraged riders to pre-register.
The two videos generated 13,071 combined Facebook views, becoming AMRA's top-performing posts during the reporting period. Our broader race marketing efforts also helped generate approximately 150 pre-entries for the Flagstaff Enduro.
The Challenge
Creating Compelling Race Promotions From Limited Footage
Video is a powerful way to capture the excitement of off-road motorcycle racing. But creating an effective promotional video takes more than putting footage to music. It needs to communicate a message, hold the viewer's attention and encourage action.
For the Flagstaff Enduro, I had raw drone footage of a couple of riders navigating the race course rather than footage captured during an actual race.
I needed to turn that material into promotional videos that gave riders a feel for the terrain and built anticipation for the upcoming event.
The videos also needed to deliver important information, including the race date, sponsor recognition and a clear call to action encouraging riders to pre-register.
The challenge was to balance visual storytelling with practical event information while creating content that supported AMRA's larger race marketing campaign.
The Strategy
I approached the project with a clear marketing objective: use video to build excitement around the Flagstaff Enduro and encourage riders to register.
I reviewed the available drone footage, identified the strongest riding sequences and developed promotional concepts around the course and upcoming event.
From there, I wrote the scripts, organized the footage and selected approved copyright-free music that complemented the visuals.
Using Camtasia, I edited the footage and incorporated the promotional messaging, race information and sponsor recognition into the finished videos.
Each video was designed to accomplish several objectives:
Showcase the course and give riders a preview of the terrain.
Build excitement and anticipation for the Flagstaff Enduro.
Communicate the race date and important event information.
Provide visibility and recognition for race sponsors.
Encourage riders to pre-register.
Reach potential participants beyond AMRA's existing Facebook audience.
The videos were part of a broader race promotion strategy that also included email marketing, social media content and the Flagstaff Enduro landing page.
By combining engaging video content with useful information and a registration call to action, I created promotional assets that supported both audience engagement and race participation.

Results
Video Performance
The two Flagstaff Enduro promotional videos became AMRA's top-performing Facebook posts during the Aug. 26–Sept. 22, 2026, reporting period.
Sept. 9 promotional video: 7,664 views
Sept. 2 promotional video: 5,407 views
Combined video views: 13,071
Overall Facebook Performance
During the same 28-day reporting period, AMRA's Facebook performance increased significantly compared with the previous 28 days.
27,955 total views, a 102% increase
4,450 three-second video views, a 419% increase
32 hours of total watch time, a 668% increase
49.9% of all views generated by Reels
59.9% of views came from non-followers
These overall Facebook results reflect all content published during the reporting period, not just the two promotional videos. However, the videos were the highest-viewed individual posts shown in the report and contributed to AMRA's overall visibility.
The high percentage of non-follower views also highlighted an opportunity to introduce AMRA to audiences beyond its existing Facebook following.
Race Registration & Sponsor Visibility
The broader Flagstaff Enduro marketing efforts helped generate approximately 150 race pre-entries.
The promotional videos supported that objective by combining course footage with important event information, sponsor recognition and messaging encouraging riders to register.
While individual registrations cannot be attributed exclusively to the videos, the campaign demonstrates how video marketing can support a measurable participation objective.

Why This Project Matters
This project brings together several aspects of marketing that I enjoy most: creative thinking, storytelling, technical production and performance analysis.
Starting with raw drone footage, I developed the promotional concepts, wrote the scripts, selected the music and produced two finished videos using Camtasia.
The videos did more than showcase the course. They communicated important race information, recognized sponsors, built excitement and encouraged riders to pre-register.
The two videos generated more than 13,000 combined Facebook views, while our broader marketing efforts helped generate approximately 150 pre-entries for the Flagstaff Enduro.
For me, effective video marketing is about more than creating something visually appealing. It's about understanding the objective, developing content that serves a purpose and connecting that content to a larger marketing strategy.
This project is a great example of how I combine creative and technical skills with strategic thinking to take an idea from concept through execution, then use actual performance data to understand what's working and where to go next.
